It was God

Remember 'bout Noah, how he built a boat?
All the people just watched him, thought it was a joke
But when all the rains came it poured and it poured
Who had he remembered that the others ignored?

It was God, it was God whose power was seen
It was God, it was God - the Power supreme

Remember Elijah and the prophets of Baal?
Called fire from heaven while others just wailed
Why was it he could do what the others could not?
Who had he remembered that the others forgot?

It was God, it was God whose power was seen
It was God, it was God - the Power supreme

Remember our Jesus, He came as our King
He said He had come to save men from sin
He knew He'd be hated, scorned and despised
But who was it sent Him to suffer and die?

It was God, it was God - His Father in heaven
And remember the reason that He had been sent
To show by His power by rising again
That He was the conqueror over Satan and death

Don't forget, it was God the Power supreme
And still today His power is seen
Deep in your heart you're hearing Him say it is God, it is God

Fairytale

Will you take a moment please to think about what you believe?
Does a God exist somewhere, and does He care 'bout you and me?
The Bible tells us it is so, but the first thing that we need to know
Is the Bible true or is it full of lies and fantasy?

If you think that God's a fairytale, is a still small voice deep down inside
Crying out that there is more to life, telling you to open up your eyes?

Take a moment please to find what's written in the Holy Book
In it's pages you will find some wonders worth a second look
If God is there does He tell lies? - if the answer's 'no' you've found the prize
For the Bible is His word, it's true and says that He loves you

God is not a fairytale, Hans Anderson could not invent
A One who fills our every need - you'll wonder where your doubting went ..

If you take a moment please to think about what you believe
Take a moment please to find what's written in the Holy Book
For the Bible is God's word, it's true and says that He loves you
Won't you take a moment please to think about what you believe
Brothers Grimm couldn't invent Him - He's the One who cares for you and me

For He's no fairytale
Take a moment
Consider Him
He's no fairytale

When will I ever learn?

When will I ever learn I'm His concern through every day -
That He is watching me in all I do and say ?
When will I be convinced - I've known Him since I was a child
Yet often from Him I turn aside

Tell me when will I know a constant glow deep down inside
Fully accepting why my Lord was crucified
When will I appreciate His love so great, His matchless grace
Must I wait 'til I see Him face to face?

The answer is plain, the answer's clear
For every moment He is near
And all I need do is turn to Him
The One who forgives my doubt and sin
And all I need do is turn to Him.

I pray to the Lord above for strength enough to face each day
For He has my future planned, protected by His hand
This poor weak faith I feel, though small, is real
By His grace I know He'll never ever let me go.

What I see now is very dim, but when I come face to face with Him
Then I will know as I am known, the day when He comes to take me home
The day when He comes to take me home

Faith without works

If you think that you know Jesus Christ you should ask yourself one question
Is there faith inside you to fight the fight? - do you live in a new dimension?
You should feel a powerful driving force, though it's hard to take the Bible has said
That faith without works, faith without works, faith without works is dead.

Now this doesn't mean that by working hard your faith will be made stronger
Putting first things first your faith's the start and to satisfy your hunger
You should now begin by asking Him to put in your heart what's in your head
For faith without works, faith without works, faith without works is dead.

God doesn't intend for women and men to be just pious and religious
Sitting smart and neat in their favourite seat in a Sunday morning service
For souls are hungry for His Word, remember that the Bible has said
It's actions and words, actions and words, for faith without works is dead

Let go, let God

Are you busy with life, is it getting you down?
Has the stress and the strife turned your joy into frowns?
God our Father does not intend all His children to strain and strive
He's longing for us to comprehend what it means to hand Him our lives
We should ...

Let go, let God - let Him firmly take control
Let go, let God - for rest and joy and peace will be ours if we
Let go, letting Him take control

Do you wear yourself out planning months at a time
Does your planning ahead stop your daily light shine
Do you have God as a passenger, is your trust in Him incomplete?
Travelling on will get wearier until God's in the driving seat
You should ...

Let go, let God - let Him firmly take control
Let go, let God - for rest and joy and peace will be ours if we
Let go, letting Him take control

Eye of a needle

Do you put your hope in material things, putting your faith in what the world can bring?
A steady job with a company car, self satisfied is what you are
I'm warning you friend that it just won't last, your chance of salvation is fading fast
It's harder for a rich man's soul to be saved
Than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle

There's nothing wrong with money, but think on this
When it comes to what you do with it
Watching the balance in the bank just rise is not the way to make your way to paradise
Or spending it all on little old you, ignoring what others are going through
It's harder for a rich man's soul to be saved
Than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle

Plenty of time

Plenty of time, time, there is plenty of time
Plenty of time, time, time to make Him mine
There'll be tomorrow, so maybe not today
I don't feel I'm quite ready for Him anyway.

Did you see there in the paper how a woman, thirty-three
Was driving down the road when her car hit a tree
It's awful, but I know that it won't happen to me
Because I'll be more careful I'll be OK, you'll see

Did you see it in the television just the other night
How a teenage boy, quite innocent, got caught in a fight
He's lying in intensive care - I hope he's all right
At least I'm safe 'cos I don't often go out at night

You know life is for living, and I'm dying to try
Exciting things, so many I just don't have the time
To think of letting Jesus come into my life
But maybe when I'm older it will be all right

Come to me now

Come unto me for I know you need rest
Won't you come unto me - I'm the One who knows best
Come to me now, lay your burdens on me
From your bondage you will be set free.

Come unto me for I know you need love
And that's what I am, I'm your Father above
I know so well that you're hurting inside
Just remember that you are my child.

Come unto me for I know you are torn
And you'll soon be rejoicing instead of forlorn
Try to remember how it used to be
When you first laid your burdens on me.

He is the light

Praise to God the Father for He has given us His Son
His one and only beloved, He is the pure and perfect One
But God the Father loved His people, so sent Jesus down to me
Now let's just praise His holy name again and again

He is the Light, the Light Of The World
He is the Rock on which we stand firm
He's the Beginning, He is the End, He is the Saviour of all men
And we will praise Him now and ever for He's coming back again
To Him be the glory and all the glory over again.

Jesus Christ is our Saviour, for He has saved us all from sin
Died a cruel death but then He came to life again
And He then returned to heaven, saying He'd be back again
To Him be the glory and all the glory over again

He is the Light ....

When Jesus went back to heaven His Spirit was left to fill our hearts
And still the Spirit is here just as He was right at the start
And through Him we all see Jesus who loves us now as then
So let's just praise His holy name again and again.

He is the Light ....

Praise the Saviour

Is it true?

Lord Jesus, is it true
That you came to earth, is it true
That you were born in solitude
To save the world, can this be true?

Lord Jesus, is it true
That though you died and were buried too
Yet then you rose from that dark tomb
Tell me, Lord Jesus, is it true?

Lord Jesus, can it be
That when you died at Calvary
Lord Jesus can it be
That you died for me?

Lord Jesus is it true
When you came to earth, is it true
That you were born to set men free
And Jesus tell me, does that include me?
'Cos if it does I owe everything to you
